You feed it news.
It feeds you donors.
Evergreen is your charity's storyteller. Send it anything that shows your work — a bulletin, two photos, a volunteer's text — and it drafts the stories, sends them to the donors who'd want them, and keeps every giver close enough that giving monthly feels natural. You approve every word.
Don't just thank your donors.
Involve them.
A receipt says thank you. A letter says what happened. Evergreen is the letter: once a month at most, built from whatever your charity already has on hand, approved by you, and sent to the donors who funded that work.
You send it anything that shows what you did. It drafts the letter, finds the donors who'd want it, and waits for your yes. Your donors stop hearing "thank you for your gift" and start hearing "thanks to your gift, here's what happened." No lists to build, no emails to write, no schedule to keep.
Every charity wants monthly donors.
This is how you grow them.
Anything that shows your work.
A PDF report. Meeting minutes. A volunteer's text message. Two photos from Saturday morning. Forward it by email or drop it in your dashboard — in whatever shape it's already in. Evergreen reads it all and finds the stories worth telling.
Gratitude with evidence.
Not "thank you for your gift" — but "thanks to your gift, the Saturday program ran all winter." Specific, warm, and true. And when the moment is right, the ask rides on that specificity: donors who know exactly what their giving did say yes to giving monthly.
And the loop closes: when the well runs dry, Evergreen turns around and nudges you — "your donors haven't heard what their gifts did in a while. Send us something." Your news grows your givers, and your givers fund more news worth sharing.
Everything it does.
And why it works.
Send it anything.
Forward an email. Drop in a PDF, the board minutes, or a couple of photos. Type two lines on your dashboard. Evergreen reads whatever arrives — in whatever shape it already exists — and pulls out the stories, numbers, and quotes worth telling.
Why it works: The raw material already exists. The bulletin got written, the photos got taken. Nobody has to sit down and "write the newsletter."
Every word passes through you.
Every draft reaches you before it reaches any donor — one click from your inbox or from the dashboard. Edit it, approve it, or bin it. Nothing sends without your yes.
Why it works: It’s your name on the email and your donors reading it. The machine drafts; you decide.
The right story finds the right donors.
A story about the food bank goes to the donors who gave to the food bank. Evergreen matches each story to the fund it belongs to, and only writes to donors who can still hear from you — never to anyone who has unsubscribed.
Why it works: Relevance is the difference between read and deleted. Donors open mail about the thing they chose to fund.
Thank-yous that carry your news.
The thank-you a donor gets after giving carries your latest approved story: not "thank you for your gift," but "thanks to your gift, the Saturday program ran all winter."
Why it works: Gratitude with evidence is what donors remember. And remembered donors are the ones who give again.
It keeps the loop alive.
Gone quiet for a month? Evergreen taps you on the shoulder — a line on your Evergreen page, then an email to the person you chose: your donors haven’t heard what their gifts did in a while. Send us something.
Why it works: The loop only works while it’s fed. This is the part that makes it evergreen.
One donor's first year.
- October
A first gift
Sarah finds your donation page and gives $50. Her receipt lands in her inbox in seconds. Nothing else happens yet — a letter is only worth sending when there is something to say.
- November
Your news travels
You forward whatever you have — the board minutes, two photos from the Saturday program, a volunteer’s text. Evergreen reads it, drafts a short letter in your name, and you approve it with one click. Sarah and the other donors to that work hear exactly what their giving did:
The letter Sarah getsSubject: Thanks to you, the Saturday program ran all winterDear Sarah, the Saturday program ran every week this winter — four more mornings than we planned, and a full room each time. Your gift in October to the Saturday Program helped make this happen. Thank you.
Work like this continues because people like you keep it going.
Every letter carries your charity's name, your color and your signature. It ends with a single "Give again" button to your own donation page — on by default, off on any letter with one switch.
- February
She gives again
Three letters in, Sarah knows your Saturday program by name. Every letter ends with one quiet way to give again, and this time she takes it — and picks monthly on your page, because by now she knows what a month of her giving does. From then on her letters stop asking: they thank her for the monthly gift she is already making.
- Ongoing
You can see it working
Beside every letter you have sent, your Evergreen page shows who it reached, who opened it, who gave again in the two weeks after, and the dollars. Your numbers, letter by letter.
Steady for you.
Easy for them.
Donors who stay.
Across the charitable sector, monthly donors keep giving at more than twice the rate of one-time donors — and the gap widens every year.
Easier to say yes.
Ten dollars a month sits lighter in a household budget than a hundred and twenty at Christmas. Smaller ask, bigger year.
Revenue you can plan on.
Monthly giving turns busy seasons and quiet ones into a number you can budget around. January looks like June.
Rules we never break.
- Nothing sends unseen.Every letter is a draft until you approve it — one click from your inbox.
- Once a month, at most.No donor of yours hears from Evergreen more than once a month. No drip, no series — one letter, when there is something to say.
- Only to the donors it’s about.A letter about the food bank goes to the donors who funded it — and never to anyone who has unsubscribed.
- One click to stop.Every letter carries an unsubscribe link, and it is honored everywhere, instantly.
- The ask is optional. Each letter ends with one quiet invitation to give again — on by default, off on any letter with one switch. Nothing is ever preselected.
- Your donors stay yours. No tips, no ads, no third-party asks on your page or in your letters. Ever.
How long we
keep things.
- Your letters stay. We keep the text of every letter for six years — the same horizon as your own books — so “what did we tell our donors?” is always answerable.
- Photos that went out in a letter stay about two years, then are replaced with a blank card. Photos you never sent are removed after about six months.
- If someone in a photo asks you to take it down, tell us and we will remove it from Evergreen.
- Notes, bulletins and texts you send in are kept while a letter built from them is live — about two years after the last send, six months if nothing was sent.
- PDFs and forwarded emails are read once and never stored. Text-message conversations are trimmed a month after they end.
- The record of who each letter went to is kept for three years, so we can show your donors agreed to hear from you.
- Your material is processed on Mindful Give’s servers in the United States and is never used to train anything.
Measured,
not promised.
Every giving platform claims growth. Evergreen shows its work: it quietly holds a small comparison group of your donors aside, so your dashboard can show the difference it actually made — repeat gifts, monthly conversions, in dollars. Your numbers, not industry averages — and if something isn't earning its keep, you'll see that too.
Early access is open.
Turn it on today.
Every charity on Mindful Give can turn Evergreen on from its dashboard. Send one update, approve one letter, and you're running.
